This 45 minute class offers 10 rounds of using traditional boxing techniques; includes shadow boxing, and conditioning.  This class is very technique focused so that you are confident throwing proper punches, have killer form and perfect stance.  High energy vibe with high intensity music, this class makes for a FUN, killer challenge while learning the basics of the sport.
Good for beginners, all levels welcome.

Main Event
45 minutes of absolute high intensity boxing training.  We work speed, power and conditioning throughout the class for all 10 rounds.  This is a true burn-out class and you are guaranteed to leave feeling like a Champion, stronger than when you walked into the fight.
Some boxing experience and fitness is helpful but all are welcome.



45 minutes of high energy, free-style spinning. This class features interval and endurance drills on a variety of terrain that are set to curated playlists that will make you sprint faster. Take your fitness level to a whole new place, while improving your strength and stamina. This low-impact class is suitable for all fitness levels.



45 minutes of full body strength training intermixed with HIIT (high intensity interval training) which will keep your muscles challenged the entire way through.  This class will transform not only your body but your mind as well, watch your strength and your confidence grow.  Equipment needed: dumbbells or household items to substitute- we can make pretty much anything work! All levels welcome.

About Mary

Mary has always had a deep passion for fitness, not only for its physical health benefits, but also for its ability to elevate one’s mental and emotional well-being. An avid distance runner and weight lifter for many years, Mary shifted her focus to boxing about 6 years ago and immediately fell in love with the sport. 
After training at her local boxing gym nearly every day for two years, she progressed to instruction. Mary started Oakville’s only dedicated girls youth boxing program nearly four years ago, and its popularity continues to grow rapidly. She also instructs adult boxing classes and high intensity interval training classes.
 Mary is a Certified Personal Trainer and an NCCP Boxing Apprentice Coach.  She lives in Oakville with her husband, two children, and Daisy, their “exercise-intolerant” yellow lab.




Katie Kimura has been an athlete all her life and has a background in anatomy and physiology as well as a certification in massage therapy.  She has enjoyed teaching spin in San Francisco’s Bay Area area and in the Greater Toronto Area.  Katie has a passion for group fitness and loves being a part of her participants health journey. She is thrilled to be a part of the StarBoxer team as the SPIN instructor!



Jen, aka “JENERGY”, offers a workout to be remembered.  The epitome of strength and perseverance, Jen leads classes that are guaranteed to push you to your limits each and every time. Jen is a Certified Personal Trainer with over 15 years of weight lifting experience and an insatiable drive to push herself and her class harder each and every time. Jen will drive you to increase your strength, change your body composition, and improve your muscle endurance through fun, “Jenergetic” classes that will leave you feeling pumped!

We book Mary in for weekly, virtual boxing classes, for our staff to join while we are all working from home.  The staff who join the classes each week have a variety of fitness levels/experience and some have limitations on space and equipment, but Mary delivers a high-quality workout for us every week.  She brings high energy and a friendly approach to the class with a focus on good boxing techniques so we can learn the sport while getting a great workout.  The classes are fast paced, fun and Mary guides us with encouragements and adaptations where required.  All the staff who have tried the class love it and look forward to it every week.  It has been a great wellness initiative to offer our team while we are all working remotely.  We would recommend Mary and her classes to everyone!

Mary is amazing I have been doing her classes since March of this year and she is always motivating, keeps the workouts challenging while giving lots of modifications for beginners and those getting back into it, and has the best music, highly recommend training with her!



I have been training with Mary for a few years now, in a variety of different athletics.
She has been a boxing coach, HIIT trainer, and an advisor to my weight training. In each of these workouts, I always find her kicking my a$$ and pushing me farther than I think I can go.
She is tough, she knows her workouts, and is capable of adapting her workouts to all levels athletic experience. The motivation she provides has taken my fitness much farther than I initially expected, and allowed me to try methods of training I never thought I would like.
She was the one who introduced me to SPIN, and while she doesn’t teach it, she is right there beside me pushing my competitive nature to its limits. Do I need any equipment?
No equipment is required for any of our boxing classes.  You will get a full body workout through shadow boxing and conditioning.  
Spin class does require a stationary bike with either straps or clip in spin shoes.
Lift class uses hand weights. The amount of weight will be dependent on each person’s capabilities. A mix of weights are recommended but not mandatory. Many household items can easily be used in place (I.e. cans, bottles, water jugs, anything weighted that cannot easily slip out of your hands).
Can I join if I’m a beginner or if I don’t know how to box?

Absolutely!  All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged.  Our instructors will guide you along the way offering modifications so that you can work at your fitness level.  Our boxing classes include the Undercard class, which teaches you all of the fundamentals and technique of boxing while still giving you an excellent work out.

What if I can’t make class?
No sweat! The link to the most recent class is automatically emailed to everyone after it’s done and the playback will be available for 48 hours.
Can anyone see me while I work out?

No!  At Star Boxer, we respect your privacy and settings are adjusted so that no one else can see you during class. If you wish, you may share your camera with the class and we welcome you always to say hello!

Are there any binding contracts?

No, you can cancel your subscription at anytime.  We just need 5 days notice before the next billing cycle begins.
